From script to video.
Every step on your Mac.
Only the image prompts leave the Mac, to the provider you pick, with your key.
- 1
Script
You, or Claude through MCP. Checked against the format: hook, counter, caption and one fact per beat.
- 2
Frames
One still per beat. The first sets the style; every other one changes only the state of the world.
- 3
Motion
Depth Anything V2 parallax, RIFE transitions and camera moves. No video model.
- 4
Voice
Kokoro on MLX, pauses where you mark them, loudness at −14 LUFS.
- 5
Subtitles
Word by word from Whisper alignment, CC0 music ducked under the voice.
- 6
Render and check
Remotion renders 9:16. A check for length, black frames, loudness and text before you accept it.
One scene.
Six looks.
Six style presets or your own description. Or Drawn mode: Claude paints each beat as SVG in gouache, ink, crayon or flat vector, with no images to buy.

Ask Claude for a video.
The MCP server lets Claude Code or any MCP client read the format, write the script, run the pipeline and pick up the result, in the same queue as the app. Then: "make a What if video about falling into Jupiter, 70 seconds, space epic style".
claude mcp add -s user content-factory -- uv run --project /path/to/content-factory/engine factory mcpEdit one beat
Every stage is cached, so a changed line re-voices one beat, not the video.
A human at the gate

FAQ.
What is Content Factory?
A free, open-source Mac app that turns a script into a finished faceless short video for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels: AI frames, parallax motion, transitions, voiceover, word-by-word subtitles, music and a quality check.
Is it a free alternative to Higgsfield Content Factory?
Yes, for faceless What if videos. Content Factory costs $0 per video: no plan, no credits, no watermark. Higgsfield estimates its Content Factory at 63 credits, $3.15, for a one-minute episode on the Plus plan. Content Factory is an independent project, not made by or affiliated with Higgsfield AI.
Where do the images come from?
From wherever you choose. Content Factory sends the image prompts to OpenAI GPT Image, Google Nano Banana or FLUX.1 Kontext on fal.ai with your own key, billed on your own account. Drawn mode needs no images at all: Claude draws each scene as an animated SVG.
Does it use a video model?
No. Motion comes from a handful of stills: depth parallax with Depth Anything V2, frame interpolation with RIFE, layers and camera moves, rendered with Remotion on the Mac. A one-minute video needs about eight images.
Does it write the script?
You write it in the app, or Claude or any MCP client writes it through the built-in MCP server. The engine checks every script against the format’s schema before it makes anything.
Which languages can it narrate?
English with Kokoro out of the box and Russian with the optional Vosk voice. Scripts and on-screen text can be English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese or Russian, and a finished video can be copied into another language that reuses its frames.
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon. There is no signed download yet, so the app is built from source with uv, Node.js 20+, FFmpeg and Rust. Windows and Linux are planned.
