Cheaper Higgsfield Alternatives: Same Models, Lower Price

Is Higgsfield expensive? The same 10-second Kling, Seedance, Veo and Wan clip priced on Higgsfield, the model makers, Dreamina, Google and 30 APIs.

Bar chart of a 10-second Seedance 2.5 clip at 720p: Higgsfield API $3.24, Dreamina $3.25, Magnific $2.97, BytePlus API $2.31

In short

  • Higgsfield is not the expensive option for every model: a 10-second Kling 3.0 clip at 720p is about 14 credits, $0.69 on the Plus plan, against $0.80 on Kling's own Standard plan and $0.84 on Kling's API.
  • It is dearer for Seedance and Veo: 10 seconds of Seedance 2.5 at 720p is $3.24 on Higgsfield's API with its 30% discount and $2.31 on ByteDance's BytePlus API; Veo 3.1 is about $2.50 per 10 seconds on Google AI Pro against $4.92 on Higgsfield Plus.
  • Wan 3.0 is cheapest on Higgsfield until November 1, 2026: $0.40 for 10 seconds at 720p on its API, against $1.00 on Alibaba Cloud.
  • Every price here is for the same model; only the seller changes. Prices are published rates checked on October 25, 2026.

Higgsfield is cheaper than people think on some models and dearer on others. A 10-second Kling 3.0 clip at 720p costs about $0.69 in Higgsfield credits on the Plus plan, less than on Kling’s own plans. The same length of Seedance 2.5 costs $3.24 on Higgsfield’s API against $2.31 from ByteDance, and Veo 3.1 is about half the price on Google’s own plans.

Higgsfield doesn’t make most of the models it sells. Kling, Seedance, Veo and Wan come from Kuaishou, ByteDance, Google and Alibaba, and the same models are sold by their makers, by other apps and by about 30 API providers. So “a cheaper Higgsfield alternative” usually means the same model bought somewhere else. Below, one 10-second clip at 720p is priced on each, from published rates checked on October 25, 2026. Open-source routes are in Open-source Higgsfield alternatives.

How the Higgsfield side is priced

Higgsfield sells plans: Starter at $19 a month for 270 credits, Plus at $59 (or $47 billed yearly) for 1,200 and Ultra at $129 (or $99) for 3,000. A credit is worth about $0.049 on Plus monthly and $0.033 on Ultra billed yearly, and that is how credits are turned into dollars below. Its API is separate: a prepaid balance billed per second, currently with discounts on several models. Credits per model come from Higgsfield credits explained and Higgsfield cost per second.

Google’s Veo 3.1 clips are at most 8 seconds, so its plan prices are scaled to 10 seconds per second; a real 10-second Veo clip needs an extension and costs more. Kling’s per-second credit rates on its own app come from third-party guides that agree with each other; Kling’s membership page doesn’t render them.

Model by model

Kling 3.0: Higgsfield is already cheap

On a Higgsfield plan, Kling 3.0 costs about 7 credits per 5 seconds at 720p: about $0.69 for 10 seconds on Plus and $0.46 on Ultra billed yearly. Kling’s own app charges 6 credits a second at 720p without audio and 9 with it: 60 credits for 10 seconds, $0.80 on the Standard plan at its $8.80 renewal price, or $0.49 on Pro billed yearly. Kling’s API is $0.084 a second without audio, $0.126 with it. Krea lands between $0.65 and $1.09, and Magnific charges $0.61–0.90 for Kling 3.0 Pro at 1080p. Unless you are on a large Kling plan, Higgsfield is not the expensive way to run Kling. The two companies are compared in detail in Higgsfield vs Kling.

Seedance 2.5: buy it from ByteDance

Seedance 2.5 is where Higgsfield costs more. Its API lists 720p with audio at $0.4622 a second and showed a 30% discount on October 25, $3.24 for 10 seconds. ByteDance’s own BytePlus API charges about $0.231 a second, $2.31 for 10 seconds, and its Chinese Volcengine platform slightly less. In apps, Dreamina, ByteDance’s own, charges 37 credits a second at 720p, 370 for 10 seconds, about $3.25–3.52 on its regular plans; its $0.29 first month brings that to a few cents, for one month only. Magnific charges 1,760 credits per 4 seconds at 720p, $2.97–4.40 for 10 seconds depending on the plan. The Seedance 2.5 price page lists every provider we track.

Seedance 2.0: the API is cheaper

On a Higgsfield plan, Seedance 2.0 is about 22 credits per 5 seconds at 720p: $2.16 for 10 seconds on Plus, $1.45 on Ultra billed yearly. Higgsfield’s API is $2.12. BytePlus charges $1.51, Dreamina’s 2.0 Pro $1.50–1.62, and kie.ai, a reseller, $1.24. See the Seedance 2.0 price page.

Veo 3.1: Google’s plans win

Higgsfield charges about 40 credits per 4 seconds of Veo 3.1, 100 credits for 10 seconds: $4.92 on Plus, $3.30 on Ultra billed yearly. Google’s own Flow charges 100 credits for an 8-second Veo 3.1 Quality clip. Google AI Pro, at $19.99 a month, includes 1,000 Flow credits, so an 8-second clip is about $2.00, $2.50 per 10 seconds. On the $100 Ultra plan, with 10,000 credits, it is half that, and Veo 3.1 Fast costs 10 credits. Through any API, Veo 3.1 with audio is $0.40 a second, $4.00 for 10 seconds. See the Veo 3.1 price page.

Wan 3.0: cheapest on Higgsfield, for now

Higgsfield’s API lists Wan 3.0 at $0.10 a second at 720p and is selling it at $0.04 until November 1, 2026: $0.40 for 10 seconds, the lowest price we found anywhere. Alibaba Cloud charges $1.00 for the same clip. On a Higgsfield plan it is 17.5 credits, $0.86 on Plus. After November 1, Higgsfield’s list price matches Alibaba’s.

Kling 3.0 Motion Control: Higgsfield’s API, while discounted

Motion Control costs $1.36 for 10 seconds in Kling’s app and $1.26 on its API. Higgsfield’s API showed it at half price on October 25, $0.63, and on a Higgsfield plan it is 17 credits, $0.84 on Plus. More options for this job are in Kling Motion Control alternatives.

What the table doesn’t show

  • Plan credits expire. Higgsfield’s, Kling’s, Google’s, Krea’s and Invideo’s monthly credits don’t roll over; Magnific gives a yearly pool on annual plans. If you don’t use a plan’s credits, the real price per clip is higher than the table says. Pay-per-second APIs don’t have this problem.
  • Failed and discarded clips. A clip you throw away costs the same as one you keep, everywhere. Cheap drafts matter more than the headline rate.
  • Unlimited generations. Several plans, Higgsfield’s included, make some models unlimited on their own website. None of the per-second prices above can match that, if the model you need is on the list.
  • Promotions. Higgsfield’s API discounts, Dreamina’s first month and Magnific’s half-price annual plan all have end dates. Check them before you commit.
  • Not every model is everywhere. Genjutsu, Higgsfield’s own model, is sold only by Higgsfield; see Genjutsu alternatives.

Jutsu Studio: staying on Higgsfield for less

Jutsu Studio is a free, open-source (MIT) Mac app for Higgsfield from the makers of this site. It is a client, not a replacement: it is for people who keep using Higgsfield’s models and want to pay less for them. It runs on either a Higgsfield account, spending plan credits, or your own API key, paying the per-second rates and discounts in the table, with no plan credits to expire. Each job starts as a cheap 480p draft before the full render, and every result is saved to your disk.

What Jutsu Studio does not do

  • It doesn’t buy models from anyone but Higgsfield. For BytePlus, Google or Kling’s own prices you use their apps or APIs.
  • It doesn’t make Higgsfield’s prices lower; it lets you choose between plan credits and API rates and see the price first.
  • It is Mac only, macOS 14 or later.

Which to pick

  • Kling 3.0 and Wan 3.0: stay on Higgsfield; it is as cheap as the makers, and Wan 3.0 is cheapest there until November 1.
  • Seedance 2.5 and 2.0: ByteDance’s BytePlus API, if you can call an API; otherwise Dreamina or Higgsfield cost about the same.
  • Veo 3.1: a Google AI plan, if you make enough Veo clips to use its credits.
  • Occasional use, no subscription: a pay-per-second API, Higgsfield’s included, so no credits expire unused.
  • All of the per-second prices in one place: the AI video API price table.

FAQ.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Higgsfield?

For Seedance and Veo, yes: ByteDance's BytePlus API sells Seedance 2.5 for about $2.31 per 10 seconds at 720p against $3.24 on Higgsfield's API, and Google's own AI plans make Veo 3.1 cheaper than Higgsfield's credits. For Kling 3.0 and Wan 3.0, Higgsfield costs the same or less than the model makers.

Why is Higgsfield so expensive?

It isn't on every model. On Seedance and Veo it charges more per second than ByteDance and Google do. On Kling and Wan its plan credits come out at or below the makers' own prices. What makes it feel expensive is that plan credits expire at each renewal, and failed or discarded generations still use them.

What is the cheapest way to use Seedance 2.5?

Through ByteDance's own APIs: about $0.23 a second at 720p on BytePlus, $2.31 for 10 seconds. Among apps, Magnific and Dreamina charge about $2.97–3.52 for the same clip, and Higgsfield's API $3.24 with its current discount.

Is Dreamina cheaper than Higgsfield for Seedance?

Roughly the same. A 10-second Seedance 2.5 clip at 720p is 370 Dreamina credits, about $3.25–3.52 on its regular plans, and $3.24 on Higgsfield's API with its discount. Dreamina's $0.29 first month makes the first clips much cheaper, but only for one month.

Can I pay per second instead of a Higgsfield subscription?

Yes. Higgsfield's API is billed from a prepaid balance at a per-second rate, with no expiring plan credits. Jutsu Studio, a free Mac app, can run on an API key instead of a subscription, and shows the price before each job.
