Higgsfield Credits Explained: Plans, Costs, Expiry

Higgsfield plans, credits per month and per video, what expires and when, and how plan credits compare with the API's per-second prices. Checked October 2026.

In short

  • On October 20, 2026 Higgsfield listed Starter at $19 a month for 270 credits, Plus at $59 monthly or $47 billed annually for 1,200, and Ultra at $129 or $99 for 3,000.
  • Subscription credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over; Credit Packs and Auto-Refill credits expire 90 days after purchase.
  • A 15-second Genjutsu clip is 40 credits at 480p, 104 at 720p and 144 at 1080p; the same clip through the API is $4.77, $10.22 or $24.48.
  • MCP, CLI, Canvas and Supercomputer always spend credits, even on models that are unlimited on the website.

Higgsfield sells monthly credits on three individual plans: Starter (270 credits), Plus (1,200) and Ultra (3,000 and up). Every generation costs credits based on its model, resolution and length, unused subscription credits expire at renewal, and top-ups expire after 90 days. The API is a separate product billed in dollars per second, and for some models it costs far more than the same clip on a plan.

All plan prices and credit counts below are from Higgsfield’s pricing page as it read on October 20, 2026. Higgsfield runs frequent promotions, so check the page before you buy.

The plans

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing (per month) Credits a month Concurrent video jobs
Free $0 $0 0 1
Starter $19 $19 270 2
Plus $59 $47 1,200 6
Ultra $129 $99 3,000 (6,000 and 9,000 tiers offered) 8
Team From $65 per seat From 1,000 per seat

A few details that the table hides:

  • Starter is limited to selected models; the page lists access to Seedance 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini. Plus and Ultra have access to all models.
  • Plus and Ultra include time-limited unlimited use of some models on the website (on October 20, seven days of Kling 3.0 and Nano Banana 2, and on Ultra also Nano Banana Pro) and small pools of free generations, such as 3 free Genjutsu generations at 720p.
  • The free plan has no credits, carries a visible watermark on every generation, and the comparison table marks commercial use as not included.
  • Team plans run 2 to 15 seats, with a shared credit pool of up to 37,500 credits a month.
  • Concurrency is from the page’s comparison table; the Plus and Ultra cards also advertise unlimited paid parallel generations.
  • Prices exclude VAT and local taxes. The page does not show the prices of Ultra’s 6,000 and 9,000 credit tiers without selecting them, so they are not listed here.

Dividing price by credits gives a rough cost per credit: about $0.070 on Starter, $0.039 to $0.049 on Plus and $0.033 to $0.043 on Ultra, depending on annual or monthly billing. That is an estimate from the list prices, not a published rate, and it assumes you use every credit before it resets.

What a video costs in credits

Higgsfield’s pricing page publishes approximate credit costs per model. A selection for video:

Model Resolution Credits
Kling 3.0 720p / 1080p ~7 / ~8 per 5 s
Kling 3.0 Motion Control 720p / 1080p ~7 / ~12 per 5 s
Seedance 2.0 720p / 1080p ~22 / ~60 per 5 s
Seedance 2.0 Fast 720p ~12 per 5 s
Wan 3.0 480p / 720p / 1080p 5 / 8.75 / 17.5 per 5 s
Google Veo 3.1 720p or 1080p ~40 per 4 s
Sora 2 Pro 720p / 1080p ~30 / ~50 per 4 s
Genjutsu 480p / 720p / 1080p 40 / 104 / 144 per 15 s

For what the same Kling models cost on Kling’s own plans, see Higgsfield vs Kling.

The Genjutsu figures come from Higgsfield’s own launch guide, which notes they can vary with settings. Images cost less: Nano Banana Pro is 2 credits an image and Soul 2.0 0.12.

Two rules affect what you actually spend. Generating 2, 3 or 4 outputs at once charges each output separately. Re-rolls and upscales also use credits. The exact cost of each job is shown on the Generate button before you confirm, and Manage Account, Usage logs every deduction and refund.

Rollover and expiry

Higgsfield’s help center is direct about this: subscription credits “reset regularly and don’t roll over.”

Credit type Expires
Subscription credits At each renewal; unused credits are lost
Credit Pack (one-time top-up) 90 days from purchase
Auto-Refill 90 days from purchase
Boost credits (Concurrency Boost) 90 days from purchase
Promo credits On the date shown when issued

On monthly plans, credits reset with each paid renewal. On annual plans they reset every 30 days rather than on a calendar date, so the reset day drifts (Higgsfield’s example: a plan started May 11 resets on June 10). Subscription credits are always spent first; other credits are spent soonest-expiring first. Buying a Credit Pack requires an active subscription.

If a payment fails, the subscription goes past due and no new credits are added until it goes through. If you cancel, subscription credits work until the end of the paid period. Higgsfield’s help page says purchased credits stay available on the free plan until their validity ends, but an FAQ answer on the same page says they are unavailable until you reactivate. The page does not resolve this, so do not count on them after canceling.

Where credits are always spent

Unlimited models and free generations work only on higgsfield.ai. Higgsfield’s pricing page and help center both say generations through MCP, the CLI, Canvas, Supercomputer or other automated tools always deduct credits, “even for models with Unlimited access on the web.” If you plan to run Higgsfield from Claude or a coding agent, budget for every generation. Higgsfield API, MCP and CLI compared covers the differences.

Failed generations are usually refunded automatically within a few minutes. The exceptions Higgsfield names: some models may not refund, and Grok generations are charged as soon as they start.

Credits or the API

The API is a different product with its own billing: a prepaid dollar balance, a $5 minimum top-up, funds that expire one year after they are added, and video priced per second of output. It does not touch plan credits.

For Genjutsu the gap is large. Using the API list rates of $0.318, $0.681 and $1.632 a second (checked October 15, 2026):

Genjutsu, 15 s Plan credits Higgsfield’s credit value API
480p 40 ~$2.00 $4.77
720p 104 ~$5.20 $10.22
1080p 144 ~$7.20 $24.48

The “credit value” column is Higgsfield’s own conversion from its Genjutsu guide (about $0.05 a credit). Your real cost per credit depends on your plan, as estimated above.

The API still makes sense when you would not use a plan’s monthly credits before they reset, when you need models only the API offers, or when you build your own tool. You pay only for what you run, and the balance lasts a year instead of a month. Per-second rates for every video model are on Jutsu Studio’s Higgsfield price table.

Spending fewer credits

  • Trim before you upload. Video-to-video models such as Genjutsu bill by the seconds you send.
  • Draft at the lowest resolution. Genjutsu at 480p is under a third of the 1080p credit cost.
  • Use your plan’s unlimited models on the website for tests, since the same model through MCP costs credits.
  • Spend subscription credits before renewal. They do not carry over.

Jutsu Studio, a free and unofficial Mac app, shows Higgsfield’s own quote on the Generate button before anything is uploaded when you connect your account, uploads only the trimmed range, and can enforce a daily spending cap with a low-credit warning and a 7- and 30-day spending report. It works with either plan credits or an API key, at Higgsfield’s prices.

FAQ.

How many credits does a Higgsfield video cost?

It depends on the model, resolution and length, and the exact number is shown on the Generate button. Higgsfield's pricing page lists, for example, about 7 credits for 5 seconds of Kling 3.0 at 720p, about 22 for Seedance 2.0 at 720p, and 40 to 144 credits for 15 seconds of Genjutsu.

Do Higgsfield credits roll over?

No. Subscription credits reset every billing cycle and unused ones expire at renewal. On annual plans they reset every 30 days.

Do Higgsfield credits expire?

Subscription credits expire at each renewal. Credit Pack, Auto-Refill and Boost credits expire 90 days from purchase, and promo credits on the date shown when they were issued.

What happens to my credits if I cancel?

Subscription credits stay usable until the end of the paid period, then expire. Higgsfield says purchased credits stay available on the free plan until their validity ends, though one FAQ answer on the same page says they are unavailable until you reactivate.

Are failed generations charged?

Higgsfield says credits for failed generations are usually refunded automatically within a few minutes, with exceptions: some models may not refund, and Grok generations are charged as soon as they start.
